Vegetables: Why They Are A Necessity


Whether you are trying to lose weight or just trying to maintain a healthy weight, vegetables are a must in your meal plan.  Not only do vegetables provide a plethora of vitamins and minerals, they also provide fiber and are low in calories.  A 1/2 cup of a cooked vegetable or 1 cup of a raw vegetable is only 25 calories.  Vegetables add a lot of flavor and create bulk to keep you full longer throughout the day.  A meal plan without vegetables can leave you feeling hungry and may cause you to add higher calorie foods to your daily food intake.  Fill your plate with vegetables to help achieve your weight loss/weight maintenance goals.  It's not an option! 

Diets Don't Work!


If we put as much time and energy into our long-term weight management goals as we do into “quick-fix, fad diets” we would all be successful!
