Why do I love it? Almond milk is a plant-based alternative to dairy milk. It has a rich, nutty flavor but only contains 40 calories and 2 grams of fat per cup. Therefore, you get a lot of bang for your buck! Although almond milk falls short on protein when compared to cow's milk, it is a great if you have an intolerance to dairy, lactose, soy, eggs, gluten, casein or whey. Its fat source is heart-healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Almond milk can be used in place of cow's milk in almost all recipes and even smoothies. Try it! Whats not to love?
