High Protein Pancakes


This recipe is a great way to enjoy the taste of pancakes in a more healthy way.  It is loaded with protein and does not contain any refined carbohydrates.  This makes one pancake and provides 26 grams of protein and 189 calories.  The recipe is:  1 scoop of protein powder, 2 jumbo egg whites, 1/2 medium banana, dash of cinnamon and a splash of vanilla extract.  Mix all ingredients together and cook on low to medium heat until golden brown on each side.  I used Designer Whey Vanilla Flavored protein powder.  1 scoop contains 100 calories and 16 grams of protein.  LOVE this recipe!  If protein powder is not your thing, try this version:  1 whole banana, 2 whole eggs, cinnamon and vanilla extract.  This version provides 254 calories and 12.4 grams of protein.  ENJOY!
