Farro is an ancient strain of wheat that is a great addition to soups and salads.  A 1/2 cup serving of farro has more fiber and fewer calories than brown rice or quinoa.  It has a chewy texture and a nutty flavor that is great in salads.  At just 100 calories for a half-cup, what's not to love!  The Simply blalanced Target brand cooks in 90 seconds in the microwave.  How's that for quick and easy.  Enjoy!
